Nestled near the shores of the Raquette River in Hannawa Falls, a small town in Northern New York State, is a special Hospital called 'EmBears.  It is here that animals are Lovingly and Individually Handmade by Ellen MacMaster, the Owner, Administrator and only Doctor at the Hospital.  The Hospital Nursery is full of Teddy Bears, Lambs, Bunnies, Dogs, Pigs, Penguins, Opossums and Skunks.  The animals range in size from 8 inches to 28 inches, some Baby-Safe with Embroidered Eyes and Noses, and some that are 5-Way Jointed and Poseable, all waiting that Adoption Call.

My pre-occupation with Stuffed Animals started as a child, and continues still with my bedroom home to over 60 pair of eyes - stacked in corners, sitting on the dresser and dangling precariously from my very own Tree of Stuffed Critters! My first bear was made as a church project in 1996.

It is 'EmBears belief that everyone needs a Stuffed Critter to cuddle. My goal is to put a smile in everyone's heart through my Art of creating Huggable, Fuzzy Bundles of Love - the Critters I call 'EmBears. You don't have to be a child to want something soft to cuddle with!
