Newberry Knitting Company of Schenectady, New York was founded in 1946 by Fred & Berniece Newberry.  Surprisingly, very few companies today can say they have been in business for over 60 years!  Even fewer still, can say with Pride & Dignity, that they have been Family Owned and Operated for all of those years and that they are still, American Made! 

In the late 1960’s Fred & Berniece handed over the reins to the company to their two Son’s, Arthur & Robert Newberry.  The two brothers ran the company together up until 1988 when Robert left to pursue a successful career in Racing.  Today Newberry Knitting is run by Arthur and his Wife, Nancy.

Newberry Knitting is often referred to as a Classic American Success Story!  A Strong Dedication to providing a Top Quality Product and Outstanding Customer Service are the values practiced everyday at Newberry Knitting. 

We only use Top Quality Wool and Deerskin in the manufacturing of our Raggwool Mittens and Gloves, for truly Unique, Useful, and Attractive Products. Our Acrylic line has grown to add Legwarmers, Armwarmers, Wristwarmers, Hats & Scarves to our Basic Gloves & Mittens for the whole family.  We supply our products to Retailers, Wholesalers, Silkscreen & Embroidery companies, Theater & Movie Costume Departments and to individuals who know and appreciate American Made Products and the workers who produce them.
