Anthony
Mazzenga founded Anrotex Inc., a Fabrics
Company in 1981. Nine years later,
Anthony saw an opportunity in the
Performance Underwear Market, so he
combined his innovative Fabrics Company
with a Performance Garment Manufacturer,
to form Wickers Sportswear, Inc. in
1990. Additionally, he also founded
Wickers Europe to market Performance
Underwear Garments in the UK in 1998 and
Anthony started his On-Line Store,
Wickers.com in 2000.
Since
its inception, Wickers has been a leader
in the Development and Introduction of
Performance Fabric Technology. Wickers
Pioneering Development of its
Proprietary Akwatek Fabric established a
new standard by which all other Wicking
Technology Fabrics were Judged. The
fabric has been tested by independent
agencies and found to have capabilities
Superior to that of standard "Wicking"
Fabrics for Thermoregulation in
Performance Sports Apparel.
The
combination of Superior Fabric
Technology with garment manufacturing
allowed Wickers to build a Business
Supplying the Major Outdoor Retail
Chains and Catalog Companies. The list
of Wickers’ Customers read like a Who's
Who of the Outdoor Industry: L.L. Bean,
Lands End, Recreational Equipment Inc.
(REI), Cabela's, Eddie Bauer, Eastern
Mountain Sports (EMS) and Bass Pro Shops
to name a few.
From the
very beginning, Wickers has maintained a
Firm Commitment to American Sourcing and
Labor. All Wickers garments are Made in
the United States of America, because
Wickers believes they have a
responsibility to Keep American Workers
working. So, a Solid Manufacturing Base
makes for a Stronger America.
Wickers
is Firmly Committed to Keeping our
Manufacturing right here in the USA
where we can Best Serve our Customers!
The
feeling has always been that the best
way to deliver quality products and
services was to stay as close as
possible to our customers. To accomplish
this level of service Wickers
established an American based supply
chain for its Yarn, Fiber, Knitting,
Dyeing, and Apparel Manufacturing. This
strategy is also beneficial to Wickers
Customers as it has shortened the lead
time between Order Placement and
Delivery, allowing its customers to
stock only those items, sizes and colors
which are selling. Such practices also
help to reduce end-of-the-year
inventories.
"All of
the efforts that we put forth to ensure
Quality Products and Excellent Customer
Service are not done to Impress Anyone.
We simply believe Fostering Partnerships
and Providing Quality Products to the
Ultimate Consumer is the Right Way to do
Business."
We make
Quality Products, at the Right Place, at
the Right Time and at the Right Price.
